High quality and detailing in every inch are time consuming. The reproduction of Birger Sandzen also needs time to dry in order to be completely ready for shipping, as this is crucial to not be damaged during transportation.
Based on the size, level of detail and complexity we need 8-9 weeks to complete the process.

In case the delivery date needs to be extended in time, or we are overloaded with requests, there will be an email sent to you sharing the new timelines of production and delivery.

TOPofART wants to remind you to keep patient, in order to get you the highest quality, being our mission to fulfill your expectations.

We not stretch and frame our oil paintings due to several reasons:
Painting reproduction is a high quality expensive product, which we cannot risk to damage by sending it being stretched.
Also, there are postal restrictions, regarding the size of the shipment.
Additionally, due to the dimensions of the stretched canvas, the shipment price may exceed the price of the product itself.

You can stretch and frame your painting in your local frame-shop.

Once the painting Sunset Over the Trees is ready and dry, it will be shipped to your delivery address. The canvas will be rolled-up in a secure postal tube.

We offer free shipping as well as paid express transportation services.

After adding your artwork to the shopping cart, you will be able to check the delivery price using the Estimate Shipping and Tax tool.

Over 20 Years Experience
Only Museum Quality

The paintings we create are only of museum quality. Our academy graduated artists will never allow a compromise in the quality and detail of the ordered painting. TOPofART do not work, and will never allow ourselves to work with low quality studios from the Far East. We are based in Europe, and quality is our highest priority.

Birger Sandzén’s "Sunset Over the Trees" (1910) practically hums with a quiet tension. It’s the kind of scene that feels both still and restless - a day’s ending, yet the sky hasn’t quite settled into night. The sun hangs low, not in its usual fiery glory but as a muted orange disk, almost swallowed by the heavy blues that dominate the painting. It’s more of a suggestion of sunset than a grand finale. The trees - dark and slender silhouettes - lean, as if the day’s weariness has gotten to them too. Their thin, reaching branches seem like they’re caught between holding on and letting go.

Sandzén’s brushwork is loose, almost impatient in places, as though he’s trying to capture a fleeting moment before it slips away. The sky is a blur of blue - you can sense the clouds moving, soft and streaky, diffusing the light. There's texture in that sky, and it feels thick, almost tangible. His use of color is interesting - the blues, greens, and occasional pale yellows are cool, calming, but they also carry a weight. It’s not the light, cheerful blue of a summer sky. No, this is a sky that knows something about the passing of time.

The composition is simple, even sparse, with the trees clumped on the left, almost forlorn. The rest of the landscape recedes into darkness, but you can feel the expanse beyond. Sandzén has somehow painted not just a sunset, but that exact moment where the day is almost gone, and the night is just starting to creep in. It’s meditative, melancholic, and yet - there's a quiet strength to it.
