TOPofART wants to remind you to keep patient, in order to get you the highest quality, being our mission to fulfill your expectations.

We not stretch and frame our oil paintings due to several reasons:
Painting reproduction is a high quality expensive product, which we cannot risk to damage by sending it being stretched.
Also, there are postal restrictions, regarding the size of the shipment.
Additionally, due to the dimensions of the stretched canvas, the shipment price may exceed the price of the product itself.

You can stretch and frame your painting in your local frame-shop.

Once the painting Street in Venice is ready and dry, it will be shipped to your delivery address. The canvas will be rolled-up in a secure postal tube.

We offer free shipping as well as paid express transportation services.

After adding your artwork to the shopping cart, you will be able to check the delivery price using the Estimate Shipping and Tax tool.

Over 20 Years Experience
Only Museum Quality

The paintings we create are only of museum quality. Our academy graduated artists will never allow a compromise in the quality and detail of the ordered painting. TOPofART do not work, and will never allow ourselves to work with low quality studios from the Far East. We are based in Europe, and quality is our highest priority.

John Singer Sargent's "Street in Venice" is a masterful slice of Venetian life, capturing a fleeting encounter in the city's shadowy alleyways. The painting thrums with tension and possibility.

A dark-clad man and a woman in black converse in a narrow passageway. Their figures dominate the foreground, framed by towering walls that funnel our gaze towards a sunlit glimpse of the wider city beyond. Sargent's brushwork is loose yet precise - the man's coat and the woman's shawl are rendered in confident strokes of black and deep blue.

The composition is brilliantly asymmetrical. The man leans slightly forward, his face obscured, while the woman stands tall, her features just visible in profile. This creates a push-pull dynamic that keeps our eye moving between the two figures.

Sargent's palette is restrained but luminous. Muted greys and browns dominate the weathered walls, punctuated by touches of ochre and sienna. A slash of pale blue sky peeks through at the top of the canvas. The artist saves his boldest colors for the woman's coral-pink skirt, which provides a vibrant focal point amidst the shadowy tones.

The painting's genius lies in its suggestive power. We're voyeurs, catching a moment that feels charged with unspoken meaning. Are these lovers meeting in secret? A chance encounter between strangers? Sargent leaves us guessing, inviting us to construct our own narratives around this beautifully observed slice of Venetian life.
