We not stretch and frame our oil paintings due to several reasons:
Painting reproduction is a high quality expensive product, which we cannot risk to damage by sending it being stretched.
Also, there are postal restrictions, regarding the size of the shipment.
Additionally, due to the dimensions of the stretched canvas, the shipment price may exceed the price of the product itself.

You can stretch and frame your painting in your local frame-shop.

Once the painting The Infanta Margarita de Austria is ready and dry, it will be shipped to your delivery address. The canvas will be rolled-up in a secure postal tube.

Diego Velazquez - The Infanta Margarita

Long confused with that of the Infanta Maria Teresa, this portrait, according to authoritative studies, is considered the last work by the master. Dated about 1660, it was completed by Juan Bautista Martinez del Mazo (died in Madrid in 1667), who reproduced the portrait in his painting of the Velazquez family (now in Vienna).

Not easily judged because of repainting, even on the face, this official portrait is executed brilliantly with abroad use of reflections in the silk and gold embroidery of the sumptuous dress. It represents the ceremonial pomp of the Spanish court at its apogee. Lacking, however, are the vibrant transparencies and the lively jets of colour - the light upon lights, as it were - that are typical of the best works by the artist's own hand. It is an elevated example of the production to which Velazquez and his students and assistants devoted themselves to meet the needs of the court.
